About Confidentiality

All information between you & your therapist is held in the strictest of confidence and no information is made available to anyone.  After your therapy, short session notes are documented, this helps your therapist remember what you have talked about, which is really important for both of you. This information is kept fully secure and can only be seen by your therapist.

Our Instant Messaging software is fully secure. We want you to feel safe & reassured, that what you talk about with your Therapist is kept between the two of you, this is really important to us here at Promise. It will only be you & your Therapist who will have access to this personal information that you have shared.

There can be some very exceptional times when confidentiality cannot be kept, where you could be a danger to yourself or to others. In such unusual circumstances, your Therapist must pass this information on if possible.

Therapists are required by law to report suspected child abuse or serious neglect and terrorism offences to the appropriate authorities.

Our therapists have supervision with an accredited & or registered Psychotherapist (BACP).   It is required that Therapists have supervision, this means that they are able to have the time to reflect, to think carefully about the best ways to help you as they are guided by their supervisor.  Your confidentiality is respected, as your identity or any personal information that could reveal your identity is never shared with their Supervisor.  If you want to ask any questions about this, then please feel welcome to get in touch with us.
